RETIRED MEMBERS & SURVIVING SPOUSES
2027 Plan Year · Dental & Vision · Medicare
FOP Chicago John Dineen Lodge 7 is proud to continue offering voluntary dental, vision, and Medicare benefits to our retired members and their surviving spouses. Your pension is one of the best earned anywhere, and these plans help round out the coverage you need in retirement.
This voluntary group dental and vision program is offered only to FOP Lodge 7 retirees and surviving spouses, and is not available on the individual market. FOP Lodge 7 works with the Policemen’s Annuity & Benefit Fund (PABF) so your premiums are deducted automatically from your monthly pension payment — and your dental and vision premiums count toward the $3,000 annual “HELPS” maximum for qualified benefit payments.
Below you’ll find your plans, your 2027 monthly rates, plan documents, and who to call for help.
Eligible: retired members of Fraternal Order of Police — Chicago John Dineen Lodge 7 and surviving spouses, and their dependent children up to age 26.
WHAT’S NEW & IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Dental ID cards were sent out for 2027. Your dental and vision plans moved to The Equitable on January 1, 2027 — same plans, same rates. Need to replace your card? Text #myid to 32360.
If you are a new enrollee, your dental ID card will be mailed before your coverage begins.
When can I enroll? With no waiting period during Annual Open Enrollment, or within 60 days of a life event that causes you to lose other coverage, aging into Medicare, or losing coverage through the City of Chicago. Rates for 2027 are the same as 2026 and are guaranteed through December 31, 2028.
